About Kenneth C. Vu
Dr. Vu came to the U.S. as one of the last Vietnamese refugees in 1975 when he was just 14 years of age. He attended high school in the States and joined the military right after graduating. He is now a 21-year veteran officer of the U.S. Army Medical Corps. After Dr. Vu retired from active duty in 2000, he served as the M.D. for Pacific IVF Institute in Honolulu. He founded the IVF program at Hawaii Center for Reproductive Medicine and Surgery and started the IVF program at Kaiser Permanente in Northern California. Dr. Vu continued to expand his career as the medical director, lab director, and REI Chief at Kaiser before retiring and moving to Southern California.
Among numerous accomplishments, he enjoys teaching medical students and residents. He was awarded Top Docs in REI IVF multiple consecutive years while serving Kaiser members and the community in Sacramento, CA.
In addition to being a devoted husband and father to his family, Dr. Vu has volunteered for many years as a board member for Alta California Regional Center, assisting people with disabilities such as Autism, Down's Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and other similar conditions.
