Dr. Joseph G. Whelan joined Reproductive Endocrinology Associates of Charlotte in 2004 after relocating from Virginia to the Charlotte area. He received his Bachelor of Arts in chemistry from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA. In his path to becoming fertility doctor, Dr. Whelan attended medical school at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, Lexington, KY where he earned his M.D. He completed his residency at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, Richland Memorial Hospital, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Columbia, SC and his fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Whelan has over 15 presentations and publications and over 20 years’ experience as an infertility specialist.
