Gift ideas to support a friend struggling with infertility
Gift ideas to support someone struggling with infertility
Infertility can be very isolating and lonely for many women, especially during the holidays.
Often when a friend has opened up about their struggle with infertility, it can be difficult to know what the best thing is to say or do.
One way to show support and recognition is to give them a small gift to let them know that you support them and you're thinking of them during this time.
If you're stuck for a gift idea, don't panic!
The important thing to note is that a gift doesn't have to be fertility-related in order to it to make a thoughtful and supportive gesture! It can be something that you know your friend personally would love or even something you think is absolutely amazing.
If she likes candles, get a candle. If she likes to cook or bake, get her a new cookbook or a bread-making kit.
If you do want to gift something fertility-related, we've rounded up some amazing ideas from brands that support women on their fertility journey (and many were created by previous fertility patients) that we think anyone would appreciate.

Our Infertility Warrior IVF Gift Guide
IVF Injection Care Kit
If you're the type of person who likes to give a super functional gift, then a kit that helps them minimize and manage pain from injections is a great option. You can buy a kit here.
This is definitely something your friend will use daily for several weeks during their entire IVF cycle to help do their fertility shots. The injections can be very painful and stressful, so gifting them a kit that has all of the things they need in order to make the injections as painless and easy as possible will be much appreciated!
You can send them the Dandi IVF care kit has all the things customized for women doing IVF specifically.
Dandi IVF Care Kit Includes:
- IVF injection site targets
- Massage ball for post-injection knots
- Heating pad
- Compression belt to limit bruising and pain from IVF injections
- Cooling pad
📫 Send an IVF care kit
It has shot targets that their nurse can place to help them make sure they are injecting the right spot, massage ball for after those tough injections, heating pad, and a compression belt so that they can avoid the bruising many women get on their abdomen from the injections.
I think they will super appreciate this gift. Super functional, super thoughtful.
IVF gift box
Everyone loves to get a care package in the mail! So one idea is to send your friend a care package specific to their fertility journey.
You can always create your own version of a care package or IVF care box with items that are comforting and thoughtful, like goodies, bath salts, candles, etc.
We actually found an Etsy shop, LoveWithinUs, that offers an IVF Care Box that you can send to a friend!
It comes with a cute rainbow mug, essential oils, and bath salts to help relax from the stress of infertility treatments.
If you decide to buy the IVF Care Box from LoveWithinUs, make sure to use the code LOVE5OFF to get $5 off your box! We don't make any money off this code, this code was given to us out of pure kindness from the owner.
Clothing with fertility symbols/motivational designs
Clothes with fertility-related symbols or quotes are very popular as they inspire confidence and community while going through fertility treatment. There are so many different types of clothing that you can find, such as transfer socks, t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, etc.
The pineapple is a symbol of fertility and is widely used in the infertility community, so any clothing with a pineapple is a great option to gift!
With all of those early morning monitoring appointments, your friend might appreciate a sweatshirt she can throw on when she's heading out the door or even a cute t-shirt to tuck into pants or a skirt.
Some companies have come up with really cute designs!
We found some super cute sweatshirt ideas that have some great designs at ShopRoseGrace on Etsy!
Our team personally loves the "Top knots and trigger shots" design but for a simpler style, the sweatshirt featuring a pineapple in the front is also a great option.
We also found some great t-shirts at InfertileTees!
For a friend that appreciates a simple design, we love this t-shirt highlighting the statistic that 1 in 8 couples struggle with infertility.
Fertility Planner/Diary
Going through infertility treatments can be extremely overwhelming. There's a lot of new information to learn, tons of appointments, and clinics move a mile-a-minute.
In order to keep on top of things, it's imperative to be as organized as possible, keep notes, and stay on top of important dates and times.
This is where having a journal specific to infertility treatments comes in extremely handy.
You can always just gift your friend a planner with a cute design on it but why not give her one tailored to infertility treatment specifically!
We came across the IVF Positivity Planner and think it's a super helpful gift idea!
It was written by a fertility coach in the UK and includes tips on coping strategies and plenty of space to keep track of appointments and do self check-ins along the way.
Affirmation Cards
Motivational and inspirational quotes really can have an affect on your mood and confidence. You can write your own motivational quotes to give your friend to read or send this cute pack we found!
These Fertility Affirmation Cards by HerStrengthStory are a really simple yet thoughtful idea to gift to a friend experiencing infertility. Every day or just on a tough day, she can pick a card and read a quote like, 'Today is part of my strength story and I am proud of myself for not giving up".
Saying positive words to yourself can really help change your mindset on a day when everything feels terrible.
This might be just the thing to cheer someone up and let them know they are strong enough to continue on their journey.
Her Strength Story was kind enough to give us a discount code! If you want to get a pack of affirmation cards, use the code MY20DOLLARS to get $20 off! We don't make any money off this code, this code was given to us out of pure kindness from the owner.
IVF Medication Organizer
If you're the type of person who likes to give really functional gifts, then this is a perfect idea.
The myvitro fertility caddy was created by former IVF patient and makes products specifically for women undergoing fertility treatment to hep them keep track of all the medications they need to take during their IVF cycle.
There are a lot of shots to keep track of and sometimes, the shots have to travel with you!
The fertility caddy keeps medications organized and comes with a shot station, which is a non-slip workstation to place needles while preparing medications and even has a clear calendar holder on the back where you can keep your treatment calendar so it doesn't get lost!
If your friend is an organization queen or maybe the complete opposite 😅, she'll probably love this.
If you're looking for smaller items, myvitro also has ttc bandaids. If you have to use bandages for injections, they might as well be cute.
Candles
Let's be honest, everyone loves a good candle.
If you're stuck with what would be a good gift idea, gifting a candle is always appreciated.
You can pick a candle from any company you like but if you want a suggestion, we think Flicker Mill Candles is a great option.
They have several candles that are part of their Fertility Warrior Collection.
We're partial to the "Stand Tall" candle, which has a light, sweet pineapple scent!
Other options include their "Patience" candle, which is dedicated to the two-week wait and has an oak and amber scent and their unscented candle called "Be the Light" for those who want to go fragrance-free!
This business comes from a husband and wife team that specifically created their candles in order to fund IVF treatment!
So what better way to show support to someone going through infertility than to patronize a candle company created to support infertility treatments.
We know you'll gift something great
We hope you found some helpful ideas on this list!
Whatever you decide to give as a gift, we know the person receiving it will love it and appreciate you so much for thinking of them and showing them support while on their fertility journey.
